DISNEY!!!
First I would like to apologize to anyone who was offended by my statement that girls were dishonest, but I beleive that Jeremy summed it up correctly when he said that it is more of an accurate stereotype that isnt true for everyone. I also didnt mean to say that all girls are habitual liars, what I meant was that girls are often contradictory, hard to understand and often hid certain things. Such examples are girls who mention that all they want is a nice guy and then only date assholes and girls who like someone, but let the chance go by because they dont want to be the one to say anything. For gods sake, if guys have to go out on a limb with the chance of failure to ask people out, girls should too.
Anyway, it is now about 3 AM, seeing as I blew a lot of time talking with Nomi and Lynn tonight when I could have been doing other things like downloading and watching Disney movies, which I proceeded to start doing as soon as I got back at 2, so long story short, it is now 3 and I am watching the Prince of Egypt and Moses is one lucky mother fuckerr seeing how close he gets to being eaten by hungy hungry hippos on the Nile.
I find it amusing how Disney made a distinct point to site where their information came from--the beginning of the movie is a warning saying that there is creative license and that it is a story adapted from the story of Exodus and where that story can be found. This is far more than any recent movie like King Arthur or Troy did. Hmmm. Spotlights in ancient Egypt. Brilliance.
Today during my history class, I came up with a special equation, everyone needs to pay very very close attention to it. English Pikemen+Longbowmen=Dead French Knights. All you mathy people might esspecially like it. This is the closest thing to real math I come to these days, and honestly that is pretty close to physics seeing as it has all the letters and stuff. Here is another: me=dork. Oh, and in the hundred years wars, the English were the ones who got smart first--the Frenchies had a big army with lots of knights, but the English learned how to cheat and then they kicked some French ass. The French were also stupid. I dont mean that they are stupid, although I am sure they have their fair share of stupid people, but they were stupid or were at least being stupid.
So yeah, I want my games to get here along with my ipod because I want music and I definately want games to play over break when there are gonna be like five of us here.
I think that the Egyptians had the uber encyclopedia. I mean they had volumes upon volumes upon volumes, you only needed to find where to look and where to go and then boom! you find what you are looking for in full picture. It is also interesting watching Disney as an adult, because they make Pharoah out to be almost human and remorseful that he had to order the death of the Hebrews. It is kinda interesting to watch, and while on one hand he is a human, and I dont care who you are, death of babies isnt the most wonderful thing when given the chance to talk about it, but on the other, he is Pharoah, and in the end if you are raised to see someone as inferior and/or worthless, then the death of children is far less. I dont know, I am inclined to say that Pharoah would have felt slightly remorseful or at least thought about it, even just as a statesman, but the idea of sacrifice for the greater good is important, but on the other, I can just as easily see him as a heartless tyrant who cares nothing for slaves with the rape and death of said slaves to be meaningless. There are distinct examples of both---the Romans often cared far more for their slaves than some of the others, with the slaves having a certain degree of loyalty to their masters, but then you have American slavery, where slaves are property and can be beaten and treated as nothing, the slaves wanting to get away. Regardless, I am curious as to which the truth was.
Maybe this search for truth is the historian in me who just wants to know. Then again the historian in me wants both to know and to be able to make a time machine (you hear me, science people, I need your help and this is the one time I will admit to this) so that I could go back to talk to people to find out what they really think, and to see how things really happened. Damnit, science needs to hurry up so I can go watch some of the major battles happen and watch important events.
By the way, the sheep at the well is the best character in the Prince of Egypt. Spitting out the water after Moses drinks it is pure brilliance. Jethro is cool too, but the sheep definately tops him, and the face it gives is cool. And damnit, Now I want some strong, confident woman to be a jerk to me only to fall for me while I am a sheperd for her fathers flock. Ok, this is getting bad, and I wonder how good watching this movie is for me. Now I want to go back to the Sinai during the reign of Ramses in Egypt, just to fall for a girl while tending her fathers flock, having years pass, including our marriage while her father does a voice over singing. Wow, I think living in a disney movie would be cool. Well as long as I dont have to be one of the suckers who gets made a fool of.
God also appears in the form of continual flame...I wonder if that really works in DnD. Using the spells continual flame and ghost sound (or more advanced spells of the same nature). And a high bluff check. It would just be fun.
Anyways, thats all for now.
Noodle out.
PS: Is it wrong to want something to start with someone even though there are four days of class left and but three weeks left?

Time travel isn't tough at all--just go faster than light, you'll get there! Well...as long as you're travelling in the right direction...
Jeremy, please don't confuse the physics newbies.
Prince of Egypt was produced by DreamWorks, not Disney.
Hi Josh!
Mosses also had to marry Jethro’s other daughters before he would allow him to marry whom he wanted. Just thought you would like to know. And Disney wouldn’t even touch a biblical story to consider for production.
