big news...

I have finally decided to say screw it to all of these other false gods and whatever other gods people beleive in because honestly if everyone else (ie christians, jews and muslims) says that everyone else is wrong because that particular group is right and noone else can be, then I can say the same thing. Before I begin on one of my tirades against organized religion that has gotten me banned permenently (without switching computers) from using a particular christian chatroom, I will make my declaration. Easy mac is god.

At the moment, I cant prove it, but I know it to be true (hell, all religion goes out on a limb in belief, and therefore my beleif cant be discounted any more than theirs can). Also I have no miracles to present to the world, but at least I am being honest and saying that no miracles have occured rather than going on sketchy testimony of superstitious people who have been dead for 2000+ years. And besides who is to say that they werent just lucky or just needed something to beleive in to accomplish what they otherwise wouldnt even attempt. Personally my new theory on Jesus is that he is a lot like that guy in Austin Powers and if he really did 'rise from the dead' it was becuase the Romans just botched the execution (even some of the most efficient killers in history make mistakes).

I am also willing to bet that the bible/torah/koran arent really the word of God. Even if God was talking to a mortal scribe who is just trying his best to do his job, he was in a lot of trouble. At best I would say that those scriptures are really a shorthand of whatever God said that was recreated later, but that is a best case scenario. I mean what if God didnt really say any of that stuff? I think it would be wonderful for God to really come down and just set the record straight and tell people that the authors of the scriptures are liars...that would just be fun.

And can you really get into Heaven just by converting to Jesusism on your deathbed. If I was Jesus, I would just say fuck you and walk off. I mean one good act, or in this case on repentance cant wipe out a lifetime of evil. Besides by that token, Hitler is in heaven and I definately dont want to go into someplace with that guy....I dont care who else is in there. Actually that isnt true. If I find my soul mate I would consider going into the same place as that guy. And even then I would make sure to be on the other side of the room. Or maybe beat him up.

I was recently in said chatroom that banned me, and I ended up arguing with someone and she didnt seem to get my points. She argued that all the worlds major religions are very similar and have similar stories. Her argument was that the Hindu religion contained the names 'Adam' and 'Eve.' My points were threefold. First: Buddhism technically beleives in spirituality but has no God. This is counted as one of the great religions though because it accounts for the spirituality of so many. The second point is that three of the relgions are the same seeing as they all trace roots to the same monotheistic tradition. Finally my capping point was two faced 1) Hinduism is a polytheistic religion making it far different than any monotheistic relgion ever. period. 2) Regardless of similarities in the story, I find it highly unlikely that the Hindi people were named Adam and Eve. That just strikes me as pompous to attatch names from other cultures just becuase the story is similar.

well I suppose that is all for now

Noodle out.

PS God HAS to be a woman. There is some major PMS going on in the old testament and that would explain it

PPS Yes, I do find religion to be a joke

PPPS People are allowed to beleive whatever they want regardless of what I beleive

PPPPS That doesnt go for anyone who tries to argue that I have to be wrong because they are right. Then they forfeit that right and have to believe what I beleive and if they dont they are wrong becasue I am right

PPPPPS Congratulations if you have used God to get over addictions. You are entitled to this beleif, but your success still hinges on finding something, not specifically God

PPPPPPS That is a lot of P's

PPPPPPPS God is a lot more fun in the old testament. I mean for writing something like this either a horde of hebrews would storm through Brandeis...I mean...fuck there is a horde of hebrews here....or a bolt of lightning would smite me down (heehee I always wanted to say that), or a plage would be called down upon Shapiro 2b that could only be stopped by all of us painting out doorframes with lambs blood (what a great idea for a group bonding activity!!)

PPPPPPPPS It would have been funny if the Egyptians had painted their doorframes too...just to piss off the Hebrews....it would have follwed their philosophy

PPPPPPPPPS I dont know

PPPPPPPPPPS God says hi

PPPPPPPPPPPS I made one more just to piss you off

Look! I only skimmed but now I will leave a comment of relevance. Lots of relevance.

Uhm.

Personally, one of the many reasons I chose to be Jewish (I read up on it, like a lot, like whoah) was because it has a few major selling points, specifically these:

-Sex = Good, and If You Do Not Have A Lot We Will Be Mad At You
-Partying = Good, and If You Do Not Drink Yourself Silly On Holidays We Will Be Mad At You
-Argument = Good, and If You Take Everything We Say As Truth We Will Be Mad At You

The third one is the relevant one; my personal idea of god isn't your typical old dude on a chair with a lightning bolt, but some sort of universal us, which is found in every living thing. And to me, everyone's idea of God is the right image of God, so noone is wrong unless they're specifically doing things which they themselves have defined as wrong.. I don't know. It's a big long explanation that can't be posted in a journal comment, but it is this: Of the three major monotheistic religions, Judaism is the most accepting of others =) And actually if you read up on it you'll see that when Jews call themselves the "Chosen People" what they mean is chosen to be the janitors of God. Mmhm. Mops and all. Everyone else will be just as rewarded as we are - it's just our job to make sure that the human race gets to the point where everyone will be rewarded.

And even though some of this may not be the typical jewish belief, the typical Jewish belief is also that there should be no typical Jewish belief; that everyone should individualize for themselves to increase the significance of the religion within their own self. This is why I can still call myself Jewish even though I don't go to synagogue, know traditional prayers, remember to light Hannukah candles, like gefiltefish, etc.

Anyway easy mac certainly = amazing.

I should probably go back and actually read your entry.

Hehe.
