Well I made it...

I made it through yet another Valentines Day and lets just say that I am glad its over without to much pain....although i slept through most of the afternoon and was really only awake for a poker tournament and for an Italian test, so it wasnt that bad. Oh yeah...I ate a couple of times throughout the day and I guess I was awake for those times too, but you get the idea.

I am suprised that I am updating two days in a row, but what are you going to do. Nothing really is new, but for anyone who likes country and/or folk music, I highly recommend Kasey Chambers...she is a newer artist who sings the song "Am I Not Pretty Enough" and it is quite good (my dad sent me the cd for my birthday and I didnt recogonize the name, but found it to be good).

I guess the only other thing I can say is my startling and world shaking discovery: I did the math and Elrond (and his brother Elros) are not half elves whatever Tolkein might say. The fact is that after going through their geneology, Elrond is 9/16 Eldar (elf) which is more than half and the remaining parts go to 6/16 Edain (human) and 1/16 Maiar, although this is up to some argument because his father Earendil was born to a human father and an elven mother, but some time after his birth (I beleive that Earendil was around 16), his father Tuor got a huge promotion and somehow became part of the Eldar under the banners of the Noldor, which I dont quite get and complicates things when you get down to geneology since if Earendil is then an elf, then Elrond is even more and elf and his bloodline just gets more fucked up, but since Tuor was an elf at the time of Earendils birth, Earendil is a half elf and Elrond is still fucked up and not a true half elf. I propose they go back and edit Lord of the Rings and replace every instance of "Elrond Half Elven" with "Elrond the Mutt".
